The Chabad House
We founded Chabad of the Heights in 2021 to serve the students of Yeshiva University, Stern College, and the young professionals living in Washington Heights. Baruch Hashem, over the past few years, we’ve built a warm and welcoming community—a true home away from home where students feel comfortable, supported, and inspired.
We offer Friday night meals, weekly Shabbos minyanim and kiddush, Shabbatons, farbrengens, Social events, lunch & learns, Chassidus shiurim, and one-on-one guidance. Every program we’ve introduced has grown beyond our expectations.
Chabad of the Heights is more than just a place—it’s a family. Here, every person is seen, heard, valued, and cherished. We don’t just see students—we see students with a Neshama, each with boundless potential waiting to be nurtured.
Over the past year, our growth has exceeded our physical space—we often don’t have enough room around the table. Recently, we had the opportunity to acquire the property adjacent to our current Chabad House. This expansion will allow us to better serve the community, with more space for programming, learning, and hosting.
The total cost of this project is estimated at $2 million.
We are now in phase #2 of the campaign, to raise $500,000 to help fund the renovations.
Please partner with us in making this vision a reality.
Your support will help ensure a vibrant and enduring Jewish future for the students of YU, Stern College, and the broader Washington Heights community.
